Request: Binary Tree Help

Hi all, well I don't know if any of you know this, is a simple thing... But my brains are not functionaly correctly...
I don't know how to do a binary tree database and to retrive and input data by using php...
Obviously there will be a root let say $parent
and there will be two child of $parent, $left & $right

.............................................$parent
............................................/...........\
.....................................$left.............$right
Then when I click on $left or $right... it should be looking like this

.............................................$left
............................................/.......\
.....................................$left........$right

and so on... dynamically....... now how would I go about it? First I need to created a Database function to link all that but i'm getting a blockage.Any help would be nice ^_ is really amazing how a binary tree can eat up your mind! 😃
