Please, please, please help.
My wife is finishing up her first web project, and she is having difficulty with the PHP code for the final request by the client.
The client would like a signup box on the website homepage for the reader to enter their email address to signup for a company newsletter.
She has a box on the homepage of the website where the reader can insert their email address and press submit to signup to receive the newsletter. But from that point, we are lost with what code to put in next.
How do we tell the 'submit' button what to do? I have gathered that it will involve PHP code that ties to her MYSQL database on godaddy.com
She needs the code that actually tells the data to flow into a MYSQL database.
What do we need to do from here?
Can anyone please provide what this code would be and she can insert her user/pass/host info for the database into that code?
Please. This is driving us nuts. I'm tired of googling. Help me please!
