Help! Linux Php - No Session Variables

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

I built a website using my shared server at Lunarpages.com - works perfect.

When my client got hold of the files and dumped them onto their LINUX server, everything works except $_SESSION['foo']="foothing"; doesn't work!

My server uses PHP 4.4.1, theirs 4.4.2.
MySQL queries work fine.
Both are LINUX installs.

Is there something that's being overlooked on their server's installation of PHP? Something in the config file?

Have you called session_start()? Did it succeed with no errors? I assume you have a robust error detection system in your page.

If so, are the session cookies being sent correctly to your browser? Is it honouring them? These can be determined using a network analyser such as Ethereal, or with some browser extensions in Mozilla.

If you believe there is a genuine server-side problem, contact their support department (e.g. if session_start failed with an error).
