I am looking for a good system to manage my research and study notes. For example, I am a php programmer.
My study was on php issues most times. But also I will try out Unix(FreeBSD etc.), Linux, Apache, Database (MySQL, Firebird).
Plus security issues (php, mysql, email). Mail Server, FTP server, many open source web applications etc.
I used to just create folders/subfolders and save the notes in word docs.
But Quickly I floored my computer with 200 folders and subfolders. Hard to find the old notes. No chance to refresh my memory of some old stuyd and research. Not easy to update. No way to communicate my research with other people even our team are very small.
I am looking for a system I can put my research and study notes in category/subcategory/sub-sub..category.
I can search in the notes. I can set up reminder etc.
I will save the research web links in the note. But I also want to be able to attach document to my research note. I want to be able to add new note following the old note.
Which category of software I should look in sourceforge.
Is it knowledge management system? I am looking for a good one on LINUX/UNIX, APACHE, MYSQL AND PHP PLATFORM.
