Help with functions

Hi guys,

I have been approached to develop a CMS for a local band, therefore i am keeping my coding neat and tidy (ie keeping all my function definitions in one file called functions.php)

After including this file, and calling a function defined within the file, i get an error message that the function is not found?

Could that possibly be becase include function parses the page before it adds it?

Any help would be great

How are you including it? If you specify a URL ("http://yoursite.com/foo/bar.php") as opposed to a local filesystem pathname ("./foo/bar.php"), then the webserver will parse and execute the file and all the calling file will receive is the output (if any). So you either need to use a local filesystem pathname, or else configure things so that the include file is served as "text/plain", either by changing its filename (such as "include.txt") or via a .htaccess file or other webserver configuration.
