[RESOLVED] PHP Cant see Variables after AJAX reload

OK, I don't know how good a title I gave this, it was hard to condense the problem into a few words 🙂

Anyway, Here's what happening...

(I'm using php4 btw!)

When my page loads, it creates various objects, these are used for adding things to the page etc.

then when i click a link on my page it reloads one of the divs to change the content. in this separate file i had hoped to use the objects in my main page (and the includes) but I cant seem to see them. Is it treated as a completely separate page?

If so is there a suggested way for my to connect the two? with session vars?

So you insert the page to div and that page is separate page? Then yes, you cannot use the variables from the main page. Session could work just fine. BTW, are you familiar with Xajax? Its a wonderful php-class that you could use in a situation like that. Check out the examples and tutorials and you get the idea how easy it really is to use.

Yes.

You could store information that needs to accessed by different scripts in session variables.
