Hello. Should I install a particular version of MySQL with PHP 4.3.1 for the least problems? Or is the latest version of MySQL okay? Thanks.
If possible, you should not use PHP 4.3.1, as that's pretty ancient.
Yes, use the latest version of MySQL, it's the best.

Well, there were problems with ver 5, some of them discussed in these forums, but hopefully 5.1 has addressed them. Best to google about that, or visit the forums at http://dev.mysql.com/ to see what the current state of affairs is. 4.1.18 was/is very stable and tried and tested.
