Setting multiple paths for the include_path directive

I was under the impression you could set multiple paths for the PHP include_path directive? (I’m on a Windows box)
I thought you could do something like this:

set_include_path('.;C:\\PHP\\PEAR;\C:\\PHP\\PEAR\\Smarty\\');

But how does PHP recognize this as two paths as opposed to one?

Well, that actualy is 3 paths: the current directory, C:\PHP\PEAR, and C:\PHP\PEAR\Smarty. Though, you have an extra backslash becore the second "C:".

Other than that, the semicolons separate different directories, so that's how PHP knows you're specifying 3 different places to look for the file.

So '.' means the current directory.
