I have a contact us form that has been abused lately. People are submitting names like STINK AMERICA and companys like ASSFACE ... this is starting to become a problem here at my company. The code is as follows:

First thing i did was "search for word censor" and wow! your name appeared for telling another guy the same thing you told me... ALONG WITH THE FACT THAT THERE ARE NO POSTS IN RELATION TO MINE... thanks anyways, i guess this is just 1 more post that i have on my name, almost like spamming, sound familiar? dick

You do realize you reported the post of a moderator, to the moderators right?

Anyway.....

What you can do is actually set some limits so that a valid email is given, a valid subject is provided, and then sanitize the words before inserting them into your $message or $headers.

I see no wrong in doing that? i mean if your boss was having sex with his employeers, wouldnt you think someone would report him to another person in authority? another boss or manager perhaps? Thanks for the links, it was a little more informative then saying go search for the posts.

Correction, i am not calling people "dicks" i was calling "A" person (1) a dick. When you ask for help you prefer to see what a post with help or a post with redirecting you to look else where? ... exactly

If you're still looking for solution to you site's problem check for some classes that have been made public. There are a few places you can check:

hotscripts.com and phpclasses.org (that one has great stuff but is terribly annoying with all the ads they put there).

concerning phpclasses.org, if you use Firefox for your browser, simply install NoScript(js disabler) and Adblock, and you won't be bothered at all while at the site. You don't have to run the NoScript all of the time, you can tell it to only block js from certain sources(in phpclasses.org's case, adbrite.com).

Well, I find that if I provide any more than the essentials that it confuses people. Example code gets cut-and-pasted and then the next post states that it doesn't work; pointers to functions are answered by queries about example code of how to use them; if links to other threads (found by searching: usually about half a dozen à la bpat1434's post) as well as suggested search terms are provided the complaint is that the links provided don't help. And then there are the people who apparently don't even bother searching in the first place, as though they have a right to a real live human whenever they want one.

I also note from the timestamp that I wasn't even supposed to be online at that time. I do recall running late. I thought it was just the duck.

Anyway, I've got to go. I've got another fifteen new posts in this forum to glance through and check that they're not just cheap deals on laptops.

I believe this thread needs to be deleted. It has a lot of keywords that will pop-up in a lot of searches, but really provides no answers.

Also, as a 3rd party in this discussion, I don't think you knew (or know) that Weedpacket, Bpat, Installer and a bunch of others are some of the most knowledgeable php programmers and most helpfull people I have ever met!

You may want to reconsider your replies, ( I agree that swearing in a reply to a question about censoring swear words is quite ironic) and admitting your error and following their advice would be a start.

At the minimal, an apology is HIGHLY due to weedpacket.
