I've installed PHPGedcomviewer on one of my servers, for use in genealogy stuff for others than my family etc. since that program was easy in regards to regularily updating the information file, but....
I already have a portal for my family, and I previously had a family registry there that I'd written all from scratch, including the databases...
now, to connect to the new database tables, is easy enough, but I came across an instance I don't have any knowledge about how to do..
here goes..
In the "tblIndividuals" table, one column is a text_column, and it contains most everything worth knowing for the person of which the row belongs to... but, it contains a mass of information, and I need to know how to pick out a single line and then break it apart (I can always use functions to break apart specific lines, if I knew howthe values where structured.)

I know what the sections include, what I need to know is how to access, for instance, the place of birth. without having to import the entire text_field. The dates have been copied over to another table, so the dates I know exist, and therefore I will also know that the field contains a record of "BIRT" or "BAPM" or "DEAT" in this case (birth, babtism, death....)
but the other table does now include the location, only this arraythingy does..
so, any suggestions?
