Why does this code not upload picture/file to folder?

Hey

I have this script which i want to upload the filename to mysql database and the file to a folder on my webserver called billeder. The uploading to mysql database works fine, but the script doesnt upload the file to the folder. Can someone see the error?

is the folder writable? you might have to change permissions on it.
are you getting any error messages?

no errors... the server is localhost so i dont have to give permission do i?

You still may need to. For instance, PHP running as a module on a Unix/Linux server running Apache webserver will typically execute the scripts under a separate user account of its own (typically called "nobody", but could have any name). Therefore the scripts executed by PHP web pages will not be run under your personal user name and thus the possible need to add permissions for group or world access.

hmm... since i dont have a ftp server running, so i could change the promission i uploaded the script to a real webserver. When i do this i get this error:

Warning: Unable to open '' for reading: No such file or directory in /virtual/www/www.lenep-katrinelund.dk/sider/uploadtest.php on line 26

Line 26 is this code from the script above:
copy($tempfile, destination);

I allready created the folder billeder so i dont understand the error?

Okay got it to work at my localhost, i forgot a $ infront of destination :quiet: . But i still get the error from above on a real webserver. So still looking for help :rolleyes:
