SQL Database understanding...

Hi,
I would really appreciate a bit of help with this. Ok what I'm making is a news site. I'm going to post a bunch of news about an event, and people can add comments etc (much like a blog site)

I'm making this from sratch what I don't undestand his the SQL table should be set up for this as in...

Table
     Article
     Comments

I don't know how I would make it like this
Table
      Article
               Comments

So I wouldn't have to make a new table for every article.

I want the Comments section to be under the Article section so if I call out a certain article all the comments associated with the article will be called out. But making a new table for each article doesn't seem that efficient, although I don't know if that's how you're supposed to do it.

This is how I would do it:

table --> articles
fields:	article_id = auto increment integer
		article_text = text
		article_date = date
		article_author = varchar
		etc...

table --> comments 
fields:	comment_id = auto increment integer
		article_id = integer
		comment_text = text
		comment_date = date
		comment_author = varchar
		etc....

This way you have all the articles in one table and all the comments in another, you can reference the two together by joining on the article_id field.
