includes with IIS

I'm using windows XP with IIS 5.1 and php 5 as a development platform. I've got everything running OK except IIS is not displaying my include files under localhost. The site displays fine on my production host which is LAMP based. I know it's got to be some sort of setup or config issue but nothing I've tried makes any difference. Any clues ?

Please be more specific: enable error_reporting(E_ALL), log the errors and tell us what errors are reported.

Developing under IIS sounds like a very bad idea. It's hard enough to make PHP work under IIS at the best of times, but when you're deploying on Apache, that's a really bad decision and is likely to cause problems.

I suspected that, I'll reconfigure with Apache and try again.

After a lot of messing about I finally got Apache set up and working with PHP and MySQL but still no includes files displayed. I started looking in php.ini for the error logging setup and realised that I had the php short tags set to off. Lo and behold set them on and everything's working.
