Paging -problem...

Is there anyone, who could give me a solution for this problem: My paging is working fine, but only the pageorder is wrong. The newest written item should set to the first page but it always goes to top of the last page. How could I get it working so that the newest items are always on the top of the first page?

if you are logging the time of the update to the table in a column called say "time", you could have:

$query = "SELECT * FROM table ORDER BY Id, time DESC LIMIT $offset, $limit";

This will return the rows of the database sorted in ID order first, time ordering with latest time first second.

I find it easier to write SQL commands in capitals so you it's easier to work out what are variables. I also wouldn't use * unless you need absolutely every column, even then I prefer to list all the column names.

Sorry, but this doesn't change anything. The result is still the same! And if I set it like Id DESC, the pageorder is right, but the newest items go to the bottom of the page.
