[RESOLVED] URLs and manipulation

Here is the deal... I should probably be able to figure out this problem on my own, but have yet to think of a solution. I have a page...

www.sitename.com/index.php?pg=list

I need people to click on a link to view more of the page if they want...

URL would read: www.sitename.com/index.php?pg=list&col=show

I want to be able to hide and show this. Which is no problem, but when I want to be able to open a third section of the page I get a little confused on how I can simply do this.

URL would read: www.sitename.com/index.php?pg=list&col=show&col2=show
or could read: www.sitename.com/index.php?pg=list$col2=show

I need them to be able to click a link that could hide/show the third section or hide/show the second section.

Is there a way to get and replace the right variables without a lot of coding. I don't care how I it gets done. Just as long as I can do it. URL or otherwise.

Did u try javascript or css, display:none or block?

Just in case anyone wanted to know how I solved this here is what I did. Simple once I sat down and wrapped my brain around the problem. 🙂
