cookie issues with php login

Hi Guys

I''ve an issue with login scripts and cookies

Just tested a login script i've written and it doesn't work when a user blocks all cookies.

My initial thoughts were trans_session_id in .htacess or in the script but i've checked for this and nothing. Is there something i'm missing, be it coding or otherwise (i.e. between the ears ;-) ) that is a good way round the problem.

All the rest of the site is fine (shopping cart, ordering etc) as PHPSESSID gets whacked onto everything, but the login just wont work.

instead of using cookie based logins, use session based logins (be it db driven or hardcoded usernames or passwords)... this will obviously keep the login alive during the users browser session and force them to relogin when they come back and it's server side so they can't turn it off
