check links in mysql database

I have a mysql database with tons of hyperlinks

I am looking for a script that can check these links if they are still valid

Does someone know about such a script

look into using CURL ( http://us3.php.net/curl )

you can connect to and grab urls with it... if it dies or times out, it's probably a dead link

Or you could use file wrappers if your php.ini has allow_url_fopen enabled.
