Cookies and Privacy

Hi all,

at the moment i have a site that i have created. Some users are having trouble logging in because they have one of two problems:

(IE based)
Tools --> Internet Options --> Security --> set to High

OR

Tools --> Internet Options --> Privacy --> set to High or Block all cookies

I was wondering if anyone had any useful links on the subject area.

All are appreciated. I have also heard that a compact policy is required and that
the below code can be used? Does anyone have an example that may help me?

Also my site uses cookies alot all i really want to achieve is to be able to set the privacy to high rather than medium high.

Some versions of Internet Explorer will refuse cookies unless your site has a P3P policy. In order to generate such a policy, it's not simply a matter of appending some header, you should also understand what the policy is and have an English (or whatever language(s) your site is in) version somewhere for humans. You should have your client understand it and stick to it.

There are loads of free P3P generators which will generate a machine-readable policy along with a draft English version which you can then tailor to your client's requirements.
