[RESOLVED] mysql_insert_id ... mysql_insert_NOW()

I know about mysql_insert_id, and i use it... its cool. i love it.

Anyway, I tend to use NOW() when inserting something and want the date/time that it is being inserted. It's easy and its neat.

Is there an easy way, without doing a SELECT to get back the date/time?

you will need to do a select to get something from the database 🙂

perhaps mysql`s date_format option? http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/date-and-time-functions.html
