i created a counter that with any refresh incrase 1 unit of record in database for counting number of vitors that visited of site.

but one person maybe refresh again and incrase that record.

what is the soloution to perevent this ?

( i don't want to use the last vistior IP to check if the next vistor is him then perevnt to incrase counter. because some pepoles maybe use of invalid IP (all of them have 1 one valid IP))

Well, you may have to contend with people turning off cookies, but cookies/PHP sessions are a great way to count because you can register a cookie once and ask for it on each subsequent page load.

There's no ideal solution. The most popular is setting a cookie so that you can check whether the user have visited the site or not. User can disable cookies in his browser, or view your site in many browsers, so there's no possibility to perfectly measure the traffic. All in all using cookies is probably the best known solution.
