restricting access PC wise ...

hi,
i wonder if there is a way to restresct access to a page PC wise, not username and password wise, not IP wise, as example this two laptops is allowed to access this page, no any other PC's or computers.
and those 2 laptops as you know can be connected dial-up some times, Public-WIFI some times, and some times work-network.
can be done ..?
i have thought of some file to be placed at the PC in some where, but i cant let the page read the file, is there a way to allow the page to read the file, even if a message asking the user to allow checking and validation !!
am confused and dont know how to do it, appreciate toooooo much your help ...

As far as i'm aware the only files PHP would be able to see are cookies on the computer and it doesnt seem like an ideal solution.

btw... your sig caught my eye, i would have done

ya mark thanks, but am posting here because you did not answer my question please explaining solution two, how to make the HTTPS physical,
buy a SSL and then , can you help me 🙁

There is no physical node-locked security by using HTTPS client certificates- it just makes it more difficult for the user to move the certificate to another workstation (they can still do it).

Look up SSL client certificates and authentication in your web server documentation.

and the computer certificate, where can be placed, and how can be browsed by the php code, as example if the certificate placed int he c:\windows\ss\myfiles\
hot the script of the php can read this certificate .. ?

Read the documentation for your web browser. The SSL client certificate needs to be installed into the web browser.

Once the web server has a trusted root certificate that the client certificates are signed with, and is appropriately configured, the common name (etc) of the client certificate can be read by PHP - see phpinfo() output (after it's correctly configured).

My guess is it's something like $_SERVER['SSL_CLIENT_CN']
