Newbie help about php and html

Hi Guys

I've just purchased php classifieds which I plan to customise. I don't really know php but know a fair bit of html.

Now, all my files from the download are php and when I bring them up in dreamweaver I can only see code. But when I'm in IE on the index page for example, and go to view>source I can see all of the html and bring that into dw to edit. So where is this html code in my files and how can I edit it within my files?

The HTML will be generated by the PHP files. Usually lines that start with echo or print contain code that will generate HTML code.

I suggest you look at www.php.net for more information about php. You can do a search for echo and print and find out all about php as well as the full manual for php.
