Another regex problem

Hi,

how can i get all parts of a string part by part ...

string ="<li><strong>lorem ipsum <br> dolor</strong></li><li><strong>lorem ipsum <br> dolor</strong></li><li><strong>lorem ipsum lorem ipsum lorem ipsum dolor</strong></li>";

and i need that in an array where i can get the tags and the text apart and identifiable in the right order....

i was able to get them the tags or the text but not together in the right order...

Is it normal that the <strong> tags are never closed ?

i corrected it.. thanks ... have a solution for that problem ..now that the strong tags are closed???

i think the bigger problem is maybe that u have to cut the string where the <br> string is also .... so not only looking for specific combinations of tags .. even xml style
tags like <br /> should be supported!!

to find out where the html tags in it is easy so my problem is perfect solved

can u tell me where i can find a good tutorial / from easy to very advanced ways about regular expressions? iwas able todo this 3 years ago .. but i forgot almost anything because i never used it again... shame on me ...

I mostly just refer to the PHP manual's PCRE Pattern Syntax and Pattern Modifiers sections.
