help on basic IF statements

hey i need help on some IF statements... which is really hard for me but probably quite simple for you guys..

anyways what i want is something like this

if ($_SERVER[REQUEST_URI] == "/blah/blah.php" , "/blah/blah")
{echo "The Blah page";}

if ($_SERVER[REQUEST_URI] == "/blah/blah2.php" , "/blah/blah2")
{echo "The Blah number two page";}

and so on... i will have to repeat this for about 20 more times

im not sure if that would work.. also, i would appreciate if someone could help me so i wouldnt have to repeat $_SERVER[REQUEST_URI]

What is the significance/purpose of the strings after the commas in your if statements? (As given here they are not valid syntax.) Assuming you meant something like...

if($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] == "that" or $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] == "this")

...I'm guessing you're looking at something better served via a switch/case construct:

switch($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'])
{
  case '/blah/blah.php':
  case '/blah/blah':
    echo "The Blah page";
    break;
  case '/blah/blah2.php':
  case '/blah/blah.php':
    echo "The Blah number two page";
    break;
  // etc......
  default:
    echo "The default value if no match was found above";
}
