Merging images?

How can I create a script were a user designates a image on the internet or their hard drive, it is moved to my server. Then the image is made transparent by Pink (255, 0 255) or if it already transparent. Then this new image is shrunk to 120 x 90 and placed ontop of a non transparent JPEG, this new image should be now saved on my server in the folder images/logo/ and the one that was transloaded or uploaded deleted.

There are plenty of [man]image[/man] functions that combined should give you all the functionality you're asking for (except for the bit about uploading the file).
