[RESOLVED] PHP Versions

hey all wondering if theses version might clash with oneanother and cause something not to work

I have phpmyadmin 2.6.3-pl1
and sql 4.1.14

I am comparing to another server with same script

he has phpmyadmin 2.8.2
and sql 4.0.27-log

any help is honored

Well, you're downgrading from 4.1 to 4.0, so you might lose some of the advanced functionality that came with 4.1. IIRC, the new password hashing was implemented as of 4.1, so unless the server was forced to use the old password hashing algorithm, you might need to use the [man]MySQLi[/man] extension on the 4.1 server. Don't quote me on that, though... my memory might be a bit rusty.

Why? Was there a specific quirk that you were experiencing/noticing?

More detailed information about exactly what is different between MySQL 4.1.14 and MySQL 4.0.27 would probably be available in MySQL's documentation on its web site.

Do you know what versions of PHP the two servers are running?

Hey all,

On the script I designed I have php 4.1 the client has the 4.0. with the script it only updates 16 players only. I think the server is timing out. servers transfer in bits and I think it's 16 bits at a time.

any ideas to why the script my not be fully updating on his, but works great on mine and others is helpful
