Problem, with cutting of length of frames

See I have sort of a menu on the left side, and the rest is other frames, However my menu goes down too far... how would I umm, 'cut' the length of the thing? so I could fit say another frame there

you might be able to calculate how much space you are using per line (font size + padding) and then subtract that from the frame height to see if you still have any room left in the frame.
There are quite a few heights that would need to be taken into consideration eg page margin font size, font zoom, padding, margins etc.
