PHP on Windows

Hello I'm just wondering how can i configure my server date to GMT +8.

from my windows desktop i installed apache, php and mysql.

i have configured my desktop to my current timezone which is GMT +8 beijing.

but once i print the value of date("Ymh - His"); on my PHP it shows the date that is 8 hour behind my current time.

do you know where can i configure it?

by the way im using XAMMP as my webserver.

Find your php.ini file and look for this section

[Date]
; Defines the default timezone used by the date functions
date.timezone = gmt

You can change it there.

i tried that already but still no luck.

No, he means you should properly configure the 'date.timezone' directive with a valid value.

Not sure what a valid value is? Check the manual.
