so that means I have to look for it in my data manager and then try to count the lines. So i have to look in the languages section but I dont have that many lines all in all.

Most good text edtors have a line number display, so that shouldn't be a big problem, also if you have files included into this file then that will add towards the line count.

What you are usually going to find with this eror is a missing semi-colon on one of the lines before line 317.

Even Windows Notepad has this 😃

No, only the lines physically present in this file (german.php) count. Lines in other files are counted against those other files.
