[RESOLVED] Putting cursor into field

Is it possible to have the cursor automatically start in a field when you load a page? It would save me having to click it.

Yes.

You need to use the body onLoad to tell the document which form to focus to.

i.e.

obsidian

I'd recommend doing something like that within a window.onload handler rather than within the body tag. It usually helps with organizing your code, especially if you need to add more to the onload trigger later:

window.onload = function() {
  document.getElementById('inputID').focus();

as far as organization, i'll agree... but it is really the same thing... so if you want it in the body tag... you can merely call a function

onload="yourfunction();"

and have the function in your script...

just wanted to explain a bit to you, that they are really both JS methods, just in different places/etc...
