Hi all
I have my n-number of log files, I usually manually cut them into files by-month, so I have a log file for each month of the year. I've never 'analyzed' them before, but now, for some marketing purpose, I need to have some estimate of how many hits I have, limited to North America, per day, per month, etc...
I don't need to do this on on-going bases,so I dont' want to install perl programs, etc...
I just ned something that I can run 'once' on my logs and give marketing guys some figures...
I have my logs created with domain resolution, so it's mostly not IP's in my logs but domain names...
any ideas on what I can use? It needs to, to the best of it's ability, single out and only do stats on North American hits, so as far as I understand, it needs to verify each domain against some geographic mapping site?
(the N.A. company who is thinking of sponsoring us needs to know how many hits we have from N.A. so they know whether advertising on our site is worthy of their time)
thanks,
Sofia
