Drop Down Menu with Pictures

Hello,

I'm new to this community and PHP. If you are nice to me 🙂 and I learn a lot I will be here for a long time to help others. You have to share your knowledge yahhh?! 🙂

Anyhoo, I would like to know if this is possible:

Drop Down Menu of Pictures. For ex.

Choose your host: (drop down menu of host faces).

Keep in mind I'm totally new to PHP so if my question is really stupid, please don't hurt my feelings. 🙂

I don't know of a clean, simple, 100% cross-browser and accessible way to do that. You'd likely have to do something with a fair bit of JavaScript. (Firefox supports the use of background images in <option> tags, but IE does not -- at least IE6, I haven't tried it on IE7.)

Not possible with PHP as its all server side.

Try using a client side javascript library to help you. I recommend http://script.aculo.us/
