Newbie here hopefully getting to be a journeyman....however, here is my issue.
I have installed apache and php on my local host, created a page that when accessed reads a cookie, checks to see if a file exists (if it does, checks to see if it was created today, if not creates a new version) and goes on.... On my local host I have no problem because privileges for writing files are ok, however, when testing on the remote server, the routine checking for the file and writing it fails.
I think it is privileges have not been set. Now the newbie part - how do I do that?
