passing form data directly to a function

Hey I trying to make my code cleaner for this user management script I made so that it will be easier to add new features and was wondering whether or not their is a way to pass form data directly to a function rather than just a page.

Not entirely sure what you're asking, but the $POST and $GET arrays, being super-globals, are automatically available within any of your functions.

<form action="function here" method='POST'>
<textfield>
<submit button>
</form>

function formfunction($formdata){
 use form data in here
}

I know it cant be done like the way above just wondering if there were some way to do it.

if(count($_POST))  // see if there's anything in the post array

   formfunction($_POST);
}

I already using something like that but I suppose I could put all the post and get handling stuff in one function thanks for the help.

I dont think that you can directly post your data to your function. You must post your form data to an action file something.php where your action file can be your same file that has your form. So do like NogDog says or like this:

<form action="" method="post">
form elements
</form>

And you can take your posted data as $_POST[formelement_name];
