[RESOLVED] Gaps in array key: How do I re-order it?

I have been on this all day. I will try and explain as best as possible.

I have an array as follows, the problem you will instantly notice there are gaps in the array KEYs. 0-1-2-4-6

I need to re-index the array to 0-1-2-3-4; and so-on.

Is there a pre-defined function that will do this, or does anyone have a pre-written function?

Use [man]array_values/man

I usually use array_merge() to do this... is one method better than the other?

(just curious...)

array_values() appears to be considerably faster than array_merge(), so I would choose array_values() since the merging functionality of array_merge() is not needed.
