Ok..this is a little... ok it's a lot off target...but.... I'm developing a PHP app (4.4.4) but I do have one little piece the will be using a REST call.
It will be outside the PHP code... and I've ran around the internet trying to understand REST. As for as I can tell is that people use it from the browser command line. Well I need it in a script (which I sure it does) but I can't find any decent examples to get going. Would/could/should it be ran in Perl? The vendor says they support REST API calls and gives some nice example of the basic http statement. But I'm lost on what to wrap around it. If some one could give me a gentle push in the right direction that would be great. (I will then happily return to my PHP code and MySQL database).
Thanks,
lost in the time before PHP
