[RESOLVED] Usig this forum

Very stupid question since I've been using this forum for sometime now, but how would I go about changing the color of some of the text in a question I post so that it makes it easier to read. I tried highlighting the text and then clicking on a color, but nothing happened? Help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make the following word [ color=red]red[/color] then back to normal. (Just remove the space after the opening "[".) For PHP code samples, use the [ php]...[/code] tags.

Am I supposed to type in those brackets myself or is there a button to push once I highlight the text I want?

I usually type them myself because I find that quicker than moving my hand from the keyboard to the mouse to select the desired text and then clicking on the applicable select box or icon, then going back to typing again. But if you're using the editor that is available when creating a new thread or if you click on the "Advanced" button beneath the "Quick Reply" box, you should have the applicable buttons and menus available to click on (and when you use them you'll see those bracketed mark-up codes inserted into your input text). I believe you need JavaScript enabled for it to work.

Well at the very top of the Posting Message entry box there is the option to change the [FONT=Comic Sans MS]Font to make it use Comic Sans [/FONT] [FONT=Impact]or possibly use the Impact font[/FONT] or you can change the size of the font or if you want you can change the colorof the font or even color different text different colors. These are BB Codes and are available either with the click of a button after selecting (highlighting) text or manually entering them the [COLOR] and [/COLOR] tags would surround the text you wish to alter along with in the [ COLOR=green]green[ /color] to produce green text minus the space preceding as shown in the last example otherwise it would have produced the effect without showing the BB Code used to produce it.
