time() and mktime one is 24 hours other is 12 hours

hi , id like to know when the difference between 2 times is past 30 minutes ,

but the server time is in 24 hours and the mk time is in 12 hours how can i make them match ? the mktime is parsed from a file so i cant really make that time 24 hours too

Can you post what is your time format within a file?
Maybe you can use [man]strtotime[/man] instead of mktime, as the first one recognizes

about any English textual datetime description

as the manual says, which, I suppose, includes am and pm in 12 hours time.
