How to split the page?

Hi,
I want to split the page to show articles with tables.
for examples:

Article 1 | Article 2

Article 3 | Article 4

etc...

Note: articles is get from MySQL db.

Get the results...
Set, let's say, Current to 1
Loop through the results...
    Print the actual result
    Can Current be divided by 2 ?
        No -> we'll stay on the same row and Current will be Current + 1
        Yes -> we'll create a new row and Current will be 1
End of loop
