setcookie in IE7

Hi,

My cookie code is not working in Internet Explorer 7 (IE7).

The following note was added to the manual here:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.setcookie.php

If you are having issues with IE7 and setcookie(), be sure to verify that the cookie is set via http for http sites, and https for https site.

Also, if the time is incorrect on your server, IE7 will also disallow those cookies from being set.

Now I assume this means that for cookies for a http site you pass:
secure=false, httponly=true to setcookie(), but this doesn't seem to work for me.

Could anyone please give me a working example?

No, it means that the cookie may not be tranferred from http to https, even for the same domain.

However, I don't think this is right and suspect that IE7 will allow it anyway.

You're probably falling foul of MSIE's P3P privacy policy requirement. Read the Microsoft docs about P3P and IE privacy settings for more info.
