slideshow with caption

I am trying to make a slideshow on my site. I am able to upload the pictures with captions. I am not good at php, so I took the high road and got a slideshow script from the net. It is PHPSlideShow v0.9 written by Greg Lawler
from http://www.zinkwazi.com/scripts. I like they way that it looks, very simple. I would like to be able to add the caption that was uploaded with the picture, but I can't figure out where to put it in the script. I don't know if it is easier to make a page that connects to the db and get the caption and combine the files or not. PHPSlideShow is just a simple 1 file script that you just put it in the image directory and the slideshow runs. Anyhelp will be appreciated.

Briefly looking at the script its labled where the output of the picture is.

you can set up a small database for the captions & make a call to it on matching the picture title to the correct caption

Im sure theres masses of ways of doing it but thats straight off the top of my head
