pop email scripts

I have a shared hosting plan and I'm looking to for a script that I can use to read my pop email. I would like something that can replace my email client (thunderbird) when I'm not at my computer.

I've looked at horde and popper. Horde needs to be installed in order to use IMP which would do what I need it to. And popper I cant find out how to set different pop and smtp ports.

Anyone know of a good web email client meant to connect to pop?

Before you go to too much trouble on this, doesn't your hosting account provide a web-based mail application for you? (All the ones I've dealt with so far do, so that's why I'm asking.)

Yea they do but I'm looking to use the webmail to access other pop accounts like yahoo and gmail. The webmail that comes with my hosting only connects to the domain I registered and emails I setup through them.
