help with user editing

now i need help with getting users on the website to edit there pages or profiles whatever you want to call it but what kind of code would i use and would I have to connect to MySQL database for them to be able to edit their profiles.

Whats so easy about using page.php?id=whatever couldnt you just use

<? php include('page.php');?>

• Need to connect to database; Again: Depends on your system
• page.php?id=whatsoever passes a variablke & value to the script page.php. THat way you can use a template for a page, and load different content, based on the variable passed. It is typical for dynamic websites.
