[RESOLVED] Alter column name in query (mysql)

is there any way to alter the column name in the query when fetching an array (mysql)

what do you mean by alter... you want to actually CHANGE the table?

and if so... i'm curious, why?

If you just mean temporarily while you're retrieving it, yes, you can.

select field1 as newfieldnamehere from sometable where....

Yeah, I kinda figured as much. His mentioning of the fetch ops was what lead me there.
