Hello, I need a very specific message board for a site I am making. I have searched countless links on google so far with no success, so I want to know if any of you can help:
I am building a text based game, and I need a message board for it, as such it must have all of these features:
-It must go into the actual game layout, it cant require a new page just for itself.
-It must connect with my user database (not a seperate one).
-It must be able to display some info above just the username (such as the player level, and a link to a player page)
-It must have several board topics, not just one (For instance, 3 being general, suggestions, and clans.)
-It must be editable by the player who first posted a message, and any admin/mod. A big plus would be a delete option
-It must look nice (with the user info and actual message, and topic name clearly not lumped together) and make sure that the actual topics have their own blocks, not just pieces of blue text...
-Must have the ability for me/mods to make stickies.
-It must NOT have any groups or registration, or other such tools that dont belong in my game.
-Must have the ability to make text bold/itilac. Adding images is a big plus but not needed.
-A feature that displays when new posts were made
Here are some things that are a definate plus:
-Be able to display several pages (literally separated- by page numbers) for both posts, and topics.
-Be able to make certain boards where only specific players would be able to post.
-Have sigs
Please, if anyone knows any such forum that I can find, I am really desperate... I have been building the game from scratch for quite a while now, and I don't want to put off opening it by a few more months just to be able to learn the code for a decent forum...
