file upload problem

I'm using a file upload script that works fine.
Today, I wanted to upload a file that's over 4MB, but a problem occured. For some reason or another PHP can't access the $_FILES['imagefile']['tmp_name'] file anymore. The script still works with smaller files. Is it because the upload takes a few minutes to complete and the temp_file has gone already?

PHP has a parameter in the ini file that limits the size of uploaded files:

That may be the problem.

If I look at phpinfo(), it says the upload limit is 10MB and file uploads are on, so I do not see any problem there. I do notice that "upload_tmp_dir" has "no value". But I guess that is no problem either as it will take the default temp directory then?

It still works with smaller files so I really do not know what is wrong.
