[RESOLVED] Is it possible to have inside a field a variable that refers to another fields value

I have an Articles table, I have a field called text for the whole article. Also, i have a field called qoute that stores an intresting sentence or quotes from that same article.

When inserting the article text in the Text field (and assuming the quotes field has a quote in it), is it possible to have a php variable that is refreing to the quote field somewhere within the Text field. I am trying but i am only get the decoration i set but not the actual quote field value.

To make it more clear: Imagine that this is what am inserting inside the Text field of the Articles table but is the RED part acceptable.

Try using eval()...although if the content does not come from a trusted source, you are posing a MAJOR security threat by doing this.

For example, if a user entered something like:

Watch me delete this guys files!
<?php
unlink('filename.ext');
?>
HAHAHAHA

or some other malicious code, you probably wouldn't be too happy. Nor would your server administrator 🙂

aksival, I am updating it myself through phpmyadmin so don't worry. I will try your code and let u know.
