reconfigure PHP

I have apache2 and PHP5 installed on my freeBSD system and it's working fine.
A new application I am trying to install requires the BCMATH extension to be enabled.

how / where can I do this.

can someone provide a tut on how to add / remove extensions and modules from PHP.

this section of the manual doesn't explain how to enable functions. it only shows how to set defaults and such for extensions already enabled.

This states that the library comes bundled with php it just needs configuring with --enable-bcmath, can't help with that on freeBSD as I use Ubuntu.
