[RESOLVED] Database Result Arrays

When a result comes back for a query, be in with mySQLi or the PDO object you get the same structure of array. For example;

(
    [0] => 51
    [BikeID] => 51
    [1] => Suzuki
    [Name] => Suzuki
    [2] => 53
    [Age] => 53
)

I realise why this is, but is it possible to remove the number indexes?

(
    [ID] => 51
    [Name] => Steve
    [Age] => 53
)

I wanted to loop through it and do my work on it but the numbers are annoying me. lol

If u use mysql_fetch_array u get this results:

(
    [0] => 51
    [BikeID] => 51
    [1] => Suzuki
    [Name] => Suzuki
    [2] => 53
    [Age] => 53
)

If u use mysql_fetch_assoc u get this results:

(
    [ID] => 51
    [Name] => Steve
    [Age] => 53
)

If you're talking about PDOStatement::fetch (which is the method that returns rows as arrays), there is a selection of flags that allow you to specify whether you want numeric indices, associative indices, or both. PDO::FETCH_BOTH is the default.
