Need Help Creating a Database

First off I do not have a lot of computer knowledge and can really use some help. I am trying to create a database of vehicles that can be updated with a .txt file.

I own a company that controls used car dealer's inventory. I go out to my clients, enter their cars into my computer program, take digital photos of the cars, and print out a vehicle window label for the cars that I just entered. I then take the complete inventory and create text files for other websites such as cars.com and autotrader.com and send them the photos and inventory text file via an ftp site.

What I would like to create is a web page for my website, autostix.com, that will allow each one of my dealers to access their inventory with a password and be able to print a nice 2-3 page brochure about a certain car.

My idea in my head is that they will log on, a list of their cars will apeer, similar to what current vehicle search websites look like, and be able to click on a car and have a nice brochure to print out.

Having the photo of the car their would be nice but I just want to make this very nice, user friendly, and easy for me to update for each of my 10 dealers.

What you propose is a bit more than trivial for a PHP beginner. Do you have any PHP experience or programming experience for that matter? If not, I suggest a beginners tutorial. There are undoubtedly hundreds more if you google "learning php" or similar terms. If you are wanting this site up and running in the next several months, if your experience is as limited as you say, you may want to find a free lancer to build this for you. I know of http://www.php-freelancers.com/ and few others where you can get a pretty good deal. If you want to dig in and go for it. Buy a book or, better yet, take a class. As you hit hurdles in your development, post your problem code here and folks will be happy to help.
